Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
