The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 “And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
