Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief). 32 Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe. 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 What! The daughters for Him, and the sons for you? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
