Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
