Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
