▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a book that is protected 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
