I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir). Sent down in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
