(Remember) the day when We will call every people with their Imam; then whoever is given his book in his right hand, these shall read their book; and they shall not be dealt with a whit unjustly. 71 But whoso has been blind in this world shall be blind in the world to come, even farther astray from the path. 72 They indeed sought to entice you away from what We revealed to you, hoping that you might invent something else in Our name; and then they would have accepted you as a close friend. 73 And had it not been that We had already established you, you would certainly have been near to incline to them a little; 74 In that case We would have surely made thee taste the double of the tornment of the life and the double of the torment of death, and then thou wouldst not find against Us a helper. 75 Indeed they came near to unsettling you, so that they might expel you from the land, but in that case they themselves would not have stayed on for very long after you. 76 (This is Our) course with regard to those of Our apostles whom We sent before you, and you shall not find a change in Our course. 77
