The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
