Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
