And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful. 42
