Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
