The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
