۞ O men! It is you, who stand in need of God, whereas He alone is self-sufficient, the One to whom all praise is due. 15 if He so wished, He could take you away and replace you with a new creation; 16 nor is this difficult for God. 17 And a bearer of burthen will not bear another's burthen, and if one heavy-laden calleth for his load, naught thereof will be borne although he be of kin. Thou canst warn only those who fear their Lord, unseen, and establish prayer. And whosoever becometh clean becometh clean only for himself; and unto Allah is the return. 18 The blind and the sighted are not equal, 19 nor darkness and light; 20 nor the [cooling] shade and the scorching heat: 21 nor are the living and the dead alike. Allah makes to hear whomsoever He wishes, but you, (O Prophet), cannot cause to hear those who are in their graves. 22 thou art nothing but a warner. 23 Surely We have sent thee with the truth good tidings to bear, and warning; not a nation there is, but there has passed away in it a warner. 24 If they call you a liar, so had those before them called their apostles liars, who had come to them with clear proofs, scriptures and the splendent Book. 25 Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach. 26
