Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum 43 shall be food for the sinners: 44 like molten lead will it boil in the belly, 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell; 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 'Taste! Surely thou art the mighty, the noble. 49 This is what you used to doubt.” 50 Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 They will be dressed in fine silk and embroidery, facing one another on thrones. 53 Even so. And We shall pair them with fair damsels large-eyed. 54 There in security, they will call for every kind of fruit. 55 They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire 56 A bounty from thy Lord. That! that is the supreme achievement. 57 And We have made this Qur'an easy in your language, for them to understand. 58 So wait thou [for what the future will bring]: behold, they, too, are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
