In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 separating one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
