Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be, and the earlier. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 What is promised will surely come to pass. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
