O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance. 41 exalt Him at dawn and in the evening. 42 It is He who blesses you, and His angels, to bring you forth from the shadows into the light. He is All-compassionate to the believers. 43 Their greeting on the Day whereon they meet Him will be: peace. And He hath gotten ready for them a generous hire. 44 O Prophet, We have sent thee as a witness, and good tidings to bear and warning, 45 And to call (men) to God by His leave, and as a lamp resplendent. 46 And bear thou unto the believers the glad tidings that theirs is from Allah a great grace. 47 And be not compliant to the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and leave unregarded their annoying talk, and rely on Allah; and Allah is sufficient as a Protector. 48 O Ye who believe! when ye marry believing women and then divorce them before ye have touched them, then there is no waiting-period from you incumbent on them that ye should count. So make provision for them and release them with a seemly release. 49 O PROPHET! Behold, We have made lawful to thee thy wives unto whom thou hast paid their dowers, as well as those whom thy right hand has come to possess from among the captives of war whom God has bestowed upon thee. And [We have made lawful to thee] the daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and the daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who have migrated with thee [to Yathrib]; and any believing woman who offers herself freely to the Prophet and whom the Prophet might be willing to wed: [this latter being but] a privilege for thee, and not for other believers - [seeing that] We have already made known what We have enjoined upon them with regard to their wives and those whom their right hands may possess. [And] in order that thou be not burdened with [undue] anxiety - for God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace 50 ۞ Thou mayest put off such of them as thou wilt, and thou mayest take unto thee such of them as thou wilt; and whomsoever thou desirest if such as thou hadst set aside there is no blame upon thee. This is likelier to cool their eyes and not let them grieve and to keep them pleased with whatsoever thou shalt give every one of them. Allah knoweth that which is in your hearts, and Allah is ever Knowing, Forbearing. 51 It is not allowed to you to take women afterwards, nor that you should change them for other wives, though their beauty be pleasing to you, except what your right hand possesses and Allah is Watchful over all things. 52
