The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
