This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
