Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 you are truly among the Messengers, 3 On a straight path. 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 So that you may warn these people whose ancestors were not warned, they are therefore unaware. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not. 9 Whether you warn them or do not warn, it is all the same; they will not believe. 10 Thou canst [truly] warn only him who is willing to take the reminder to heart, and who stands in awe of the Most Gracious although He is beyond the reach of human perception: unto such, then, give the glad tiding of [God's] forgiveness and of a most excellent reward! 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
