He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 To him you give attention. 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 and fearfully, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 These verses are a reminder 11 So whoever wills may remember it. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 then the way eased for him, 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 And We made corn grow, 27 And grapes and herbage 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 and fruits and fodder 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 and covered by darkness. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
