Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
