Al-Najm 3 of 3
Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
