Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 Cushions arranged, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
