The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 who guard their privates, 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
