Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
