Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 "From which you turn away! 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 The Lord said: “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself before him whom I created of My Two Hands. Are you waxing proud, or fancy yourself to be too exalted?” 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
