The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
