The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
