Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man what he knew not. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
