Believers, do not consume usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear Allah, in order that you shall prosper. 130 And guard yourselves against the fire which has been prepared for the unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger, that you may be shown mercy. And hasten to the for-giveness of your Lord and to a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the God-fearing who spend in the way of Allah both in plenty and hardship, who restrain their anger, and forgive others. Allah loves such good-doers." 132 ۞ And vie with one another, hastening to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a garden whose breadth is as the heavens and earth, prepared for the godfearing 133 Those who expend in weal and woe, and the repressors of rage and the pardoners of men; and Allah loveth the doers of good. 134 who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God, and pray forgiveness for their sins -- and who shall forgive sins but God? -- and do not persevere in the things they did and that wittingly. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath,- an eternal dwelling: How excellent a recompense for those who work (and strive)! 136 There have been many dispensations before you; so travel in the land and see what befell those who denied the truth. 137 Here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear Allah! 138 And do not become faint of heart, nor grieve, you will have the upper hand, if you are believers, 139 If misfortune touches you, [know that] similar misfortune has touched [other] people as well; for it is by turns that We apportion unto men such days [of fortune and misfortune]: and [this] to the end that God might mark out those who have attained to faith, and choose from among you such as [with their lives] bear witness to the truth - since God does not love evildoers 140 This is so that God may try the faithful and destroy the unbelievers. 141 Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast? 142 You certainly wished to die (for the cause of God) before you actually faced death. Then you faced death (in the battlefield and only a few of you had the true desire to die). 143
