T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
