The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
