Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
