Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
