The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
