The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ A. L. M. 1 Defeated have been the Byzantines 2 in a land close by. But, after their defeat they shall become the victors. 3 Within a few years. Allah's is the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice, 4 In Allah's help to victory. He helpeth to victory whom He will. He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 The promise of God! God fails not His promise, but most men do not know it. 6 they know but the outer surface of this world's life, whereas of the ultimate things they are utterly unaware. 7 Do they not ponder about their own selves? God has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a purpose and for an appointed time? Yet many deny they will ever meet with their Lord. 8 Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? They were stronger than these in power, and they dug the earth and built upon it more than these have built. Messengers of their own came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). Surely Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves. 9 Then evil was the consequence to those who dealt in evil, because they denied the revelations of Allah and made a mock of them. 10
