The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
