Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
