The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the glorious morning light; 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
