We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
