The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
