In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
