We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
