Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the morning hours 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
