Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
