Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
