The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
