Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
