۞ O men, it is you who stand in need of God. As for God, He is above all need, worthy of praise. 15 If He so wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new mankind [in your stead]: 16 That is not a hard thing for Allah. 17 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination. 18 Equal are not the blind and those who can see, 19 the shadows and the light, 20 nor the [cooling] shade and the scorching heat: 21 Nor are the living equal with the dead. Lo! Allah maketh whom He will to hear. Thou canst not reach those who are in the graves. 22 You are only a bearer of warnings. 23 We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and warning, for there is no nation, that has not had a warner pass away in it. 24 And if they reject thee, so did their predecessors, to whom came their messengers with Clear Signs, Books of dark prophecies, and the Book of Enlightenment. 25 then I seized the unbelievers, and how was My horror! 26
